M42 - The Orion Nebula - note the satellite trail

Just has to be my best image to date - always a good nebula to look at, with the naked eye, through binoculars, telescopes or cameras...

M27 - The Dumbell Nebula

Another stunning image taken from my back garden this autumn...

Moonscape

The closest planet to earth - within easy reach of everyone to take photographs...

M57 - The Ring Nebula

One of my all time favourite images...

NGC7000 - The North American Nebula

My first nigfht just using my camera and 400mm lens on my mount...

Deep Sky Astrophotography

Is my main focus in astronomy.
I like to be able to record my images and forward them to my friends!

My Messier Marathon

I plan to do a Messier marathon overnight 21st/22nd March 2015. I have already planned the order in which I have to view the Messier Objects and also noted for how long each one is visible. I plan not only to view each image but to photograph each one too, taking a 30 second exposure of each one!
I plan to arrive at my chosen dark sky a week early in order to align my mount to the best of my ability. I'm currently getting less than 1/4 of a second error when setting up, which is eliminating eliptical images or images with tails.

Below is the table ready to show the images when they are taken, such is my confidence in being able to complete the task successfully. Al;l I need now is for clear skies...
